Estate Landscapes was established in 2015 by Sean Wilmot who has immigrated from Ireland and now resides in Auckland, New Zealand, with his Kiwi partner, Georgia. Sean has a wealth of experience in the “hands on” business of gardening and landscaping offering personal service with no big business red tape and no middle men. Clients find it refreshing to deal a man who has experience, does the pricing, does the hard graft and runs every project personally. This solves many potential issues when the brief is direct and clients can chat directly about their plans, ideas and aspirations. There is no whistle blowing at 5pm. Sean works until the job is done.
Sean’s experience in landscaping and related vocations spans 17 years beginning in Ireland where he worked as a golf course greenkeeper for 9 years, worked with a tree surgeon and later join his brother in a stone masonry business building traditional rock walls and paving.
In 2010 Sean set off to explore the world and after some travel took up a position as a golf course greenkeeper in Australia where he remained for 12 months before choosing to move to New Zealand where he was employed as a green keeper at North Shore Golf course. where he stayed for two years until deciding to set up his own business. During his two years at the golf course he realised there was a niche opportunity to fill a gap that exists for landscaping on a moderate scale for the average family, pensioners, building developers and small businesses.
